Minute Small Ceramic Pot with Drainage Hole and Saucer, Cobalt Blue
The 3-inch Cobalt Blue is a glazed ceramic plant pot with a center drainage hole and a matching saucer, finished in a blue we have always loved and always slightly fought with. On its own, cobalt tends to read as hard, sharp, formal, the kind of blue that looks better in a lab than on a shelf beside a trailing pothos. Even compressed to three inches, the warmth we coaxed into it survives, which is the whole reason the color finally earned a place on the shelf.
We spent real time trying to soften it without losing what made it cobalt in the first place, and at three inches you can see the result of that work in miniature: still unmistakably cobalt, but with the edge quietly sanded down. Glazed ceramic holds moisture more evenly than raw terracotta, and the finish resolves a little differently on every pot. The small size proves the softening works even where there is the least surface to prove it on.
