Orange Fiesta Marigold
A 50th anniversary gift that does not require anyone to find a parking space: the Orange Fiesta Marigold is a ceramic wall flower in the saturated warm orange associated with golden milestones — the color marigolds reach in full summer sun before they go to seed, held permanently in ceramic. Four and a half inches across, handmade, one screw, no water. The fiesta variety is an especially dense marigold — more petals per bloom than the standard, layered in multiple planes so the flower reads as nearly spherical from the front. The studio designed marigolds because they photograph impossibly well and then discovered they are genuinely difficult to produce at this scale by hand. Both remain true.
